Buhurt is first and foremost an intense combat sport, and with that comes the numerous physical demands required of one. In order to efficiently and effectively fight in a full kit of steel armor requires consistent physical conditioning and focused training.


Our strength and conditioning program incorporates tried and true training methods from many of the sports greatest athletes, along with additional modern approaches to our overall program in order to build athletic fortitude and resilience. 


Our strength and conditioning exercises include:

  • Full body warm-up and group HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) sessions to prepare your body for partner drills and sparring
  • Specialized weapon strike training against a pell using axes, swords, falchions, maces, halberds, punch shields
  • Cross training circuits including kettle-bells, battle-ropes, skipping, body weight tabatas
  • Movement and footwork drills to increase speed, agility, and coordination
